Although high heeled shoes are a fashion favorite for women around the world, they are not practical for all of us. Some of us do not have the grace necessary to wear high heel shoes and many of us simply find them too uncomfortable. I belong to an elite group of women who have relatively large feet and find it difficult to find a decent pair of high heel shoes that fit properly.
I wear a size 10 or 11 depending on the shoe and I have never found a pair of high heels that I felt comfortable in. I have a lot of girlfriends who wear high heel shoes every day and often complain about sore feet and sore backs. Even and if their legs look like a million bucks in a pair of high heels, I do not envy them even for a moment.

So if you are like me and high heel shoes are not for you, then you have most likely been filling your closet with flat shoes. A collection of flat shoes may not be as flashy and glamorous as one of high heel shoes but, at the very least, flats offer a lot more comfort for your feet. When it comes to flat shoes, I believe that the most comfortable ones are made by Aerosoles and Dr. Scholl’s. You can find their shoes practically anywhere and they are also very affordable.
I have found several pairs of Aerosoles and Dr. Scholl’s flats for less than $40 at local shoe stores. Given what some women spend on their shoe collections, I find this price range to be extremely reasonable. If you are shopping in this price range you can fill up your shoe collection without breaking the bank.
If you have been confined to flat shoes, do not fret. There are many styles of flats out there that are very cute and some even border on sexy if you can believe it. Look for little details like straps, embroidery, and other embellishments that add style. Flat shoes may not be as sexy as high heel shoes that they don’t have to be completely boring.

There is no reason for you to look like a schoolgirl or a nurse when wearing flat shoes. You can also trying to add a bit of style with cute pairs of trouser socks or stockings. Look for pieces that have a subtle but unique style to go with your flat shoes so that you can spice up the fashion factor.
