Your hair is one of your most important attributes. The style and color can say a lot about you. Your hair and what it says about you can be seen from across a room more easily than your eyes or smile. Women especially are fixated with their hair and constantly worrying about its appearance because we tend to have more options when it comes to style your hair than men do.

When I was 19 years old I got a major haircut and went from having hair down to the middle of my back to a short, stylish pixie cut. It was quite the transformation and I found it to be very freeing. I enjoyed the haircut for months but when I decided to grow it out I found myself frustrated at how long it took to grow hair past my ears. It took many, many months to grow my hair out and I vowed never to cut it that short again so that I would not have to go through that long process of waiting on my hair to grow.

If you find yourself in a similar situation you should know that there are many options available to you. With all of the extensions available these days you may not even need to grow hair, you can just glue or weave some on. Weaves and extensions are not for everybody though. Some will just have to grow hair the old-fashioned way with time and patience.

If a bad haircut is not what’s ailing you but rather a lack of hair altogether, you are not without hope. Many people with thin or thinning hair have been able to save their locks and grow hair with products such as Rogaine. These products are widely available and even though it can be a little embarrassing to purchase them, if they can help you hold on to the hair you have now and possibly grow hair to fill in the thin spots, it is well worth it.

Be wary of all those products that you have never heard of which claim to grow hair. There is a huge market for hair loss or thinning hair and many products out there do not do what they claim to. Chances are, if you have never heard of the company or the product is unlikely to help you. In many cases these products along next to the infamous spray-on hair. So before you spend your money doable research and see which products have been proven effective.
