In the fashion world, there are certain staple wardrobe items we find indispensable. Like the little black dress that goes everywhere, for day and evening wear, so are white linen pants regarded as must-haves for most women. White linen pants have been popular for decades and never go out of style.
At one time, it was considered a big fashion no-no to wear white clothing of any type after summer. Fashion designers cleverly came up with winter white, an off white deemed suitable for wear in winter. Soon, there were shoes and bags in winter white, and women everywhere were happy.
Just like the LBD, white linen pants are versatile costume elements which can be dressed up or down with ease, to suit any fashion occasion. Partnered with a white linen jacket, cashmere sweater and a length of pearls makes an elegant and sophisticated costume for lunch.
This chameleon of the wardrobe can be teamed with a lacy black tailored shirt, fire engine red linen jacket, red stilettos and a few fine gold chain necklaces to make your dinner date proud. Matching red lipstick completes this costume.
For summer wear, well-tailored white linen pants can give an elegantly casual appearance at that beach side club for breakfast. A tropical print beachwear shirt, closely fitted and front or side-tied tied waist looks both festive and elegant. With shoes echoing a color in the shirt and costume jewelry beads, you'll attract the right kind of attention.

From the boardroom to the boardwalk, white linen pants can't be beat for their ability to go anywhere. The quality of white linen speaks for itself and that one word message is elegance. If you're a shoe enthusiast, there's hardly a pair of shoes that can't be worn with white linen pants with the exception of flip-flops. Inelegant shoes won't cut it with these fashion icons.
If you're a scarf fan, you're in luck with matches for your white linen pants. Silky patterned scarves are especially nice, as are cashmere scarves.
Are you into hats? The big brimmed hats (think Audrey Hepburn or Sophia Loren) are excellent companions in a white linen costume.
Come to think of it, there's very little that doesn't make a big statement with white linen pants. Of course, you'll want to keep them spotless, or all elegance is simply lost. Ask your cleaners to treat them with a water repellent which will help keep them and you looking good.
